Whether you're upcycling your old chairs or refreshing your wooden tabletop, Rubio Monocoat can take your furniture to the next level. Carry out these easy steps to repare, protect and look after the furniture you're making, renovating or selling.
THE STAGES OF REFRESHING YOUR FURNITURE

Correct preparation of wood is crucial for an optimal protective finish. At least half of the success of colouring and protecting your wood is determined by prior preparation.

After preparation, you can start colouring and protecting wood with Rubio Monocoat's revolutionary Oil Plus 2C.

Preparing, colouring and protecting wood is one thing, but maintaining it is equally as important. You should look to regularly clean your timber surfaces within the advice for
individual applications.
PREPARATION
Preparing your wood is one of the most important parts of finishing your wooden project. Make sure to follow these easy steps below to sand prep your wood for an ideal finish.

Step One:
Sand the area to a 120P grit. Start with 40P grit sandpaper, then work your way through 60P, 80P, then 120P

Step Two:
After sanding, pour Wood Prep onto a lint free cloth and wipe the surface. With veneered doors, it's important that the timber is not soaked, so the cloth should only be damp.

Step Three:
Ensure you have wiped the entirety of the surface and leave to dry. This should take approx. no longer than one hour.
PROTECTION
Oil Plus 2C gives you the chance to have colour and protection and applying it is the easy part. Ensure you're following these four steps to ensure a perfect finish for your table or chairs.

Step Four:
Firstly, give your can a good shake.

Step Five:
Mix 3 parts oil (Part A) to 1 part accelerator (Part B) and stir.

Step Six:
Apply to beige scrubby pad and work around the surface of the table or piece of furniture.

Step Seven:
Leave the oil for a few minutes, then wipe off the excess with your cloth until it's dry.
