THE STAGES OF REFRESHING YOUR CABINETS

Correct preparation of wood is crucial for an optimal protective finish. At least half of the success of colouring and protecting your wood is determined by prior preparation.

After preparation, you can start colouring and protecting wood with Rubio Monocoat's revolutionary Oil Plus 2C.

Preparing, colouring and protecting wood is one thing, but maintaining it is equally as important. You should look to regularly clean your timber surfaces within the advice for
individual applications.
PREPARATION
Prepping your wood is key - that's why we've got the perfect product for it! Follow the steps below to prepare your bathroom or kitchen with our Wood Prep.

Step One:
Sand the area to a 120P grit. Start with 40P grit sandpaper, then work your way through 60P, 80P, then 120P.

Step Two:
After sanding, pour Wood Prep onto a lint free cloth and wipe the surface. It's important that the timber is not soaked, so the cloth should only be damp.

Step Three:
Ensure you have wiped the entirety of the surface and leave to dry. This should take approx. no longer than one hour.
PROTECTION
Did you know Oil Plus 2C was safe for food and water resistant? This makes it perfect for athroom and kitchen interiors! Follow these steps to oil your cabinets the proper way!

Step Four:
Firstly, give your can a good shake.

Step Five:
Mix 3 parts oil (Part A) to 1 part accelerator (Part B) and stir.

Step Six:
Apply to beige scrubby pad and work around the surface.

Step Seven:
Leave the oil for a few minutes, then wipe off the excess with your cloth until it's dry.
Your surface will be fully cured ithin 5 days, ready for your ftercare regime to begin.
AFTERCARE
Aftercare is everything! With prepping and oiling soon comes the looking after part! Use the products below to ensure your wood lives the longest life it can!

Surface Care Ecospray:
Use Surface Care Ecospray weekly or monthly care on surfaces treated with Oil Plus 2C.

Refresh Eco:
Refresh Eco should be applied several times a year to restore colour to your surface.

Universal Maintenance Oil:
Universal Maintenance Oil should be used once a year to nourish the surface, or when the area is showing some wear and tear.
