THE STAGES OF REFRESHING YOUR FENCE

Correct preparation of wood is crucial for an optimal protective Finish. At least half of the success of colouring and protecting your wood is determined by prior preparation.

After preparation, you can start colouring and protecting wood with Rubio Monocoat's revolutionary WoodCream.

Preparing, colouring and protecting wood is one thing, but maintaining it is equally as important. You should look to regularly clean your exterior surfaces with the advice for
individual applications.
PREPARATION
Exterior projects need to be prepped to get rid of the mildew from previous applications, especially before applying our protective oils. Follow the steps below to make sure you're doing everything to prepare your fences and cladding the right way.

Step One:
Make sure to remove all residues of old applications. Dampen the surface with water, using a hose or high-pressure cleaner.

Step Two:
Apply Exterior Wood Cleaner.

Step Three:
Scrub the surface with a nylon scrubby brush in the lengthwise direction of the wood until it's clean. Allow the surface to dry well.

Step Four:
Dilute your WoodCream with WoodCream softener if you wish to have a different shade.
PROTECTION

Step Four:
Stir WoodCream thoroughly before use.

Step Five:
Use our WoodCream brush to apply Rubio WoodCream in the direction of the wood grain.

Step Six:
Use a sponge to remove any surplus, in the direction of the grain.
AFTERCARE
Make sure to use the below product to keep your fences and cladding in tip top condition, to optimise your protective finish.

Exterior Soap
Use Exterior Soap at a ratio of 1 litre of RMC Exterior Soap to 3 litres of clean water.
